In response to a Public Records Request, we received the following from the City of Shreveport:

• SPD Use of Force Policy It shall be the policy of the Shreveport Police Department that members use only force that is objectively reasonable to effectively bring an incident under control while protecting the lives [of] the officer and others. Officers shall use only level of force which a reasonably prudent officer would use under the same or similar circumstances.
• SPD Recording Policy The Shreveport Police Department shall utilize recordings in various mediums to enhance officer safety, efficiency, document events, and collect and retain evidence. This policy does not govern the use of covert recording devices used in undercover operations.
